The main recording platform at Ourgate is based on Cubase SX2 running under Win XP. We find that this platform is so solid and reliable that we still use it as the main recording sequencer. Steinberg have a well respected industry standard sequencer in the Cubase products. We also run a Makie SDR 24/96 Hardisc recorder ADAT light piped to a Panasonic Ramsa digital console. This platform is also used on the field for live recording work. Backing up your projects on either platform just takes a few minutes.

The front end mixer is the industry standard Mackie 1402 VLZ PRO. This little desk just sounds great and provides all that is required in the front end of the modern project studio.

Converters are the MOTU 2408 MK3. These converters achieved a 10 out of 10 for sound quality in the revue in "Future Music" magazine. The system also offers ADAT I/O or TDIF I/O x 3 as well as 8 I/O's of analogue and ADAT Sync. The converters can deliver 24 Bit 96 Khz for DVD quality. We have a 20 bit ADAT machine should you need it. Audio can also be flown straight out of the sequencer and mixed on the Ramsa WR-DA7 with full automation and flying faders if prefered.
